Most people think about sex every single day of their
lives. Who we fancy; what we’d like to do to them; what we’d like them to do to us; who we’ve done it with
and how we did it: - the thoughts are endless and we all think them (from puberty until death)… Our self-esteem is often
wrapped up in how well we look, (‘does my bum look big in this?’ ‘Why do I have to have this spot in the
middle of my nose?’ ‘Are my boobs too small?’ ‘Is my willy the right size?’ ‘I wish I
was thinner, taller, smarter, funnier, blonde, black, red, whatever’…) We all want to feel desired and attractive,
we are all unhappy if we feel ugly, and we are all chuffed to pieces (if only secretly) when someone pays us a compliment
Love it or hate it, embrace it or deny it, sex and sexual
desire make the world go round, more than love or money; to deny this natural instinct will only result in stress, anxiety,
and psychological problems, which will age you and ultimately kill you; prematurely. Best thing you can do is laugh at yourself
for being ‘human’, take yourself with a big pinch of salt, relax and just go with it…
Sex is normal, it’s natural; sometimes it can
be disturbing; sometimes it can be breath takingly beautiful; sometimes it can be down-right hilarious and sometimes it can
break your heart. Sometimes you need it to be gentle, soft and romantic; sometimes you just wanna be rude, naughty and dirty…
its all ok and at different times in your life it is all necessary to your own self discovery of who you are.
As an artist I am dedicated to beauty (as I see it…
it’s always in the eye of the beholder) and as a red-blooded man I am fascinated by sex. I haven’t done
a great deal of ‘Erotic Art’ but it is something that I intend to do a great deal of in the future, for myself
and for others, of men as well as women and of couples together, straight and gay, it doesn’t matter… its all
fascinating and it can all be turned into art that is beautiful, raunchy, passionate and fun…
Since writing the above (Winter 2004) I have started
to sell erotic drawings on eBay and I have become a member of the Association of Erotic Artists (see link at the bottom of
